About Steig Larsson Karl Stif-Erland "Steig" Larsson was a Swedish writer and journalist. He is best remembered as the author of the Millennium Trilogy which begins with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and ends with The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest. The trilogy was published posthumously. A strong activist, Larsson's work speaks against sexual violence against women. The trilogy was made into hit Swedish films. The first novel was adapted into a hit movie by David Fincher starring Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist and Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander. The other movies in the series are due to be released in the short future.
