ফ্ল্যাপের কিছু কথাঃ Samir Dasgupta, born 1933 in Barisal, Matriculated from St. Gregory's High School, Dhaka and was subsequently educated at Calcutta, Rochester and Chicago. His academic Career included teaching in several institutions at home and at the university of saskatchewan, Canada. On returning to Calcutta in 1968, he has been working as a journalist. Lately, he has made his mark as an art critic and writer on matters relating to art. Dasgupta is the author of several books, including a two-volume work on Bishnu day (1972), and anthology of poems of Bertolt Brecht (1999) and numerous articles on the German Playwright. His books in Bengali include purbajonmer Rasta Dhorey (reminiscences of East Bengal), published in 1985. Dedicated to the cause of communal harmony and secularism, Dasgupta has long been an avid listener of Lalon Songs.
