This book meets the requirements of two categories of readers: those who are appearing for the examination conducted for the Black Belt certification in Six Sigma and also those who would like to refer to the techniques involved in Six Sigma from time to time. The Body of Knowledge of 2001 is presented in the book so that the readers can make comparisons with the present specifications, enabling them to offer suggestions about the how the next Body of Knowledge should be. The tables that are provided in the book make use of both Excel sheets and Minitab 15 platform, and there is also a table for control constants. The glossary has been made more extensive and extra alpha values are added in the book. Readers can also find a glossary that has listed the Japanese expressions used in the Six Sigma platform.
T. M. Kubiak has worked at different levels of management at Honeywell International for over 23 years. He has also been a Director at Six Sigma for Sears, Roebuck and Co. He is presently with the Bank of America as a Quality and Production Executive. Donald W. Benbow is a well known teacher with an experience of over 33 years, and he taught subjects such as mathematics, statistics, and engineering, including computer science. He is the co-author of books like The Certified Reliability Engineer Handbook and The Certified Quality Technician Handbook. At present, he is a partner at the Iowa Quality Systems.
