This Book Presents, in Sheikh Mujubur Rahman’s own words, an anusual view of the events and circumstances leading up to the return of Bangabandhu to his country after release from the Pakistani prison. Forty speeches and statements made by Bangabandhu Between October 28, 1970 and January 10, 1972 tell us a story which has been heard in bits and pieces before but never with the continuity and intensity that this volume achieves by letting readers hear it from the man himself .

What emerges is not only a portrait of the transformation of a people into a nation, but also of the evolution of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman humself from the Awami League Chief to the Father of a new nation.
