Eoin Colfer is an Irish writer who was born in 1965 in Wexford, Ireland. Colfer has written many teenage fiction series. Some of the books from these series’ are Half Moon Investigations, Legend of Captain Crow's Teeth, and The Supernaturalist. Besides this, Colfer has written the sixth installment of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, called And Another Thing... The series was originally written by Douglas Adams, but after his death, Colfer was requested by Adams’ wife to write the last book of the series. Colfer first got noticed in 2001 when he published the first Artemis Fowl book. Since then, he has written a number of books and is a New York Times bestselling author for teenage and kids’ fiction. Although he has written several books, Colfer is most popularly known for his Artemis Fowl Series, has been compared to J.K Rowling on many accounts. The author presently lives in his hometown, Wexford, Ireland with his wife, Jackie. They have two children named Sean and Finn.
